Since 1982, COTS has been committed to serving the most vulnerable members of the Detroit community by providing emergency shelter, affordable housing, and numerous personal enrichment programs. We are on a mission to create opportunities for families who are overcoming poverty to collaborate, thrive, and succeed in building strong and stable households, neighborhoods, and communities.
Through partnerships with donors, volunteers, corporations, organizations, and the broader community at large, we work together with families to explore the root causes of homelessness, build intentional and genuine relationships, increase social capital, discover strengths, and support establishing goals that move families toward stability for generations to come.
